What it Means to be Part of a Movement

Hosted by Opportunity Nation

This session will explore how organizations can inspire, be a part of and support movements that drive widespread social change. With a focus on coalition building, we will discuss how to engage in bipartisan action, produce convenings that spark purposeful conversations and what it means to cultivate cross-sector partnerships. Examples will stem from “Our Opportunity Nation,” a plan which highlights the barriers to fulfilling the American Dream and includes six Opportunity Millennium Goals and policy recommendations to boost opportunity, elevating youth voices for policy change.

Opportunity Nation is a bipartisan, national campaign comprised of more than 350 cross-sector organizations working together to expand economic mobility and close the opportunity gap in America. We’re now in the midst of the continued mobilization of leaders and institutions across sectors to meet these goals and advance these policies to boost opportunity for more Americans.

Session speakers in addition to Monique Rizer, Executive Director of Opportunity Nation, will include leaders from Opportunity Nation Coalition member organizations.
