A five-day documentary film festival, which takes place in select theaters across Boston and is specifically curated to include a lively, hosted post-film conversation with Boston Globe journalists to turn screenings into an opportunity for the community to come together and have an open dialogue. The festival will also announce the winner of the Boston Globe Filmmakers Fund Award during the week.

Explore the Environmental Film Festival On Tour

The Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital, the largest and longest-running festival of its kind in the US, will return to Boston for a special showcase of environmental film on October 11-13. Three exceptional environmental films addressing clean energy, food waste, and the disappearance of the world's coral reefs, will screen in Cambridge and Boston, each followed by engaging discussions with filmmakers, scientists, and experts. The showcase is presented by Bank of America.
